Ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all

SDG 4 calls for all children, youth, adults, and especially the poorest and most disadvantaged to have access to quality basic education and vocational training. Equal access to education and quality of education according to the lifelong learning approach as well as knowledge of sustainable development are further focal points of SDG 4. Depending on which indicators are used to measure progress, the achievement of the goals of a more sustainable Germany by 2030 is assessed differently. The progress calculation of the official German Sustainable Development Strategy includes four indicators and 2030Watch extended indicator list supplements this list with two additional indicators.
