Civil society monitoring in Switzerland

Like 2030Watch, the Swiss Agenda 2030 platform is dedicated to keeping a close eye on government agencies. The network of around 50 associations, federations, NGOs and trade unions from Switzerland brings together civil society actors from the fields of environment, development, human rights, sustainable business, gender, peace, housing and work. In 2018, the Agenda 2030 Platform published for the first time a Civil Society Report on the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Switzerland and by Switzerland. Now, a new report has been published that will add a civil society perspective to Switzerland's official country report at the High-Level Political Forum in New York. The report shows that Switzerland is not on track for a sustainable world and calls for more leadership from the Federal Council for the necessary transformations, poverty reduction and protection of climate and human rights.
