The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2022
Last week, this year's edition of the United Nations SDG Report was published. Based on the latest data and estimates, it provides a global overview of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, with detailed analyses of selected indicators tracking global and regional progress towards the 17 SDGs.
The report shows that the many interrelated crises that have cascaded across the world in recent years threaten not only the 2030 Agenda, but the very survival of humanity. After years of progress in poverty reduction, as well as improvements in health, education, basic services and many other areas, the report now notes a trend in the opposite direction. Fast action is now urgently needed to save the SDGs and make meaningful progress for people and the planet by 2030, it says.
