Voluntary National Reviews 2022

The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) has begun. By July 15, countries and other stakeholders will share their experiences in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and report on their progress. Under Section 84 of the 2030 Agenda, periodic reviews of the status of implementation are to be voluntary, state-led, conducted by developed and developing countries alike, and involving diverse stakeholders. This year, 44 countries have announced they will conduct a Voluntary National Review (VNR), and for 11 of them it will be the first time. VNRs will be on the HLPF agenda starting Monday, July 11.
