High-Level Political Forum from 5 to 15 July 2022

This year's High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development will be held July 5-15 on the theme "Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development." Special focus this year will be on reviewing SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals) and will be the subject of the first week, July 5-7. During the second week, July 11-15, a total of 45 countries will present their Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs). While eight countries will present a VNR for the first time this year, for two countries (Togo and Uruguay) it will be the fourth time. CSO Day will be held on July 8 under the theme"Unmute Civil Society toward a Recovery for All." The day will feature numerous workshops and panels by and for civil society (both online and face-to-face). Forum Environment & Development is also expected to offer a breakout session.
