Global Education Week "Water is Life - Learning Globally!"

From November 14 to 20, 2022, this year's Global Eucation Week will take place under the motto "Water is Life - Learn Globally!". The focus this year is on water, environmental protection and climate change, thus touching on four of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at once, namely SDG 6 "Clean water and sanitation", 14 "Life below water", 4 "Quality education" and 3 "Health and well-being". Access to clean water is a fundamental factor in achieving many of the SDGs. At the same time, climate-related events such as heavy rainfall, flooding and conflicts over water are on the rise, and plastic pollution of the oceans continues to increase dramatically.

Global Education Week is an annual worldwide initiative that calls for rethinking our world together, using global learning as a tool for solidarity and change, and contributing to a more sustainable, peaceful and just world. Global Education Week is coordinated in Germany by the Informationsstelle Bildungsauftrag Nord-Süd at the World University Service (WUS). Exciting projects are offered by schools, associations, universities, city councils, ministries and many other committed institutions.
