Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation

SDG 9 includes targets aimed at making infrastructure, industrialization and innovations more resource-efficient. To this end, resources are to be used more efficiently and clean, environmentally compatible technologies and industrial processes are to be promoted. Technology development, research and innovation are to be supported, especially in developing countries. Depending on which indicators are used to measure progress, the achievement of the goal of a more sustainable Germany by 2030 is assessed differently. The progress calculation of the official German Sustainable Development Strategy consists of one indicator. 2030Watches adds four indicators to draw a more comprehensive picture.
