In addition to eradicating extreme poverty, SDG 1 also includes a sub-target on eradicating relative poverty, which is based on national definitions. Depending on which indicators are used, the observed progress on SDG 1 varies. The official German Sustainable Development Strategy's progress calculation includes two indicators. The list of indicators expanded by 2030Watch comprises four indicators.
