Climate change and pandemic

Seven years after the presentation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, implementation has been slow. The negative effects of the Covid 19 pandemic have been exacerbating the situation for two years now. In its new "SDG Report", the aid organization CARE examines the impact of the pandemic on the SDGs.

The SDGs are hardly reported on anymore, the pandemic has since been the dominant topic in global reporting. SDG 3 (health and well-being) was one of the SDGs that seemed achievable for many countries before the pandemic. Under Covid-19, even the most robust health systems are suffering. In addition, other deadly infectious diseases are being overlooked in the fight against covid-19.
