Learning together for sustainability

Johannes Huwer, a subject didactician at the University of Konstanz, is being funded by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) to build aninteractive and collaborative online platform that will provide a public learning and information space on sustainability issues. The project title "SDGs interactive - for an environment worth living in" refers to the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ) within the framework of the United Nations' Agenda 2030.
This is the first time that a kind of supra-regional digital student lab has been initiated, which has a significantly higher public reach than student labs in a real physical location. For the development of the platform, Johannes Huwer, holder of a so-called bridge professorship for the didactics of science at the University of Konstanz and the Thurgau University of Education (Switzerland), together with his cooperation partners Ingo Eilks and Antje Siol from the Institute for Didactics of Science at the University of Bremen, will receive funding of around 281,000 euros.
