"Energy revolution - NOW!": Climate communicator Volker Quaschning on December 7 in Munich

Can we get out of the climate crisis with an "energy transition"? The climate crisis is the greatest threat to our world as we know it. In order to preserve the livelihoods of future generations, we need an energy supply based exclusively on renewable energies by 2035 at the latest. The event "Energy Revolution - NOW!" offers a unique opportunity to discuss questions about the implementation of the energy transition with Prof. Dr. Volker Quaschning, one of the leading experts on renewable energies, and to present concrete solutions. The event will answer questions such as: "Is solar and wind energy enough? Are electric cars really environmentally friendly? What are the benefits of the Heat Planning and Building Energy Act? Are heat pumps the solution? Is hydrogen the savior, as politically claimed?"

Like no other, Prof. Dr. Volker Quaschning knows how to present the complex mathematics of climate in an understandable way, how to pick people up and get them involved. He is a two-time award winner for successful science communication, has also worked in the Department of Renewable Energy Systems at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW) since 2004, was a project manager at the German Aerospace Center and is the initiator of the "Scientists For Future" (S4F) movement.

The event will take place both on site in the Carl-von-Linde lecture hall at the Technical University of Munich and online via Zoom and YouTube streaming and is open to media representatives and the public free of charge. Interested parties are asked to register in advance here .
