1 year traffic light coalition - Where do we stand in implementing the SDGs?
The new German government has been in office for just under a year. Its assumption of office was accompanied by hopes for more sustainable policies and accelerated implementation of the SDGs. Developments in recent months have put the brakes on these hopes. We therefore want to take a look at current sustainability policy and ask: What is currently happening at national, European and international level to implement the SDGs and what is in store for the coming months?
In a civil society roundtable, we will discuss the most important international SDG processes, including HLPF, implementation in the EU and the SDG Summit 2023. Afterwards, we will look at SDG implementation in, by and with Germany and exchange views with representatives of the Federal Government and the Bundestag. What are the plans of the government and the Bundestag to accelerate SDG implementation in the SDG Decade of Action? How will civil society be involved in this regard?
We look forward to an exchange of information as well as stimulating discussions around the implementation status of the SDGs.
The meeting will be purely civil society, so we ask only for registration of people from this area no later than September 20 at abshagen@forumue.de.
