Agenda 2030 and mathematics

How can mathematics help us to better understand global relationships? By examining data - for example on the development of poverty or mortality rates - teachers and pupils can take a closer look at the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals and then discuss them. The learning platform "Agenda 2030 and Mathematics" from Engagement Global gGmbH - Service for Development Initiatives offers mathematical analyses using linear functions and forms the basis for interactive project work. This is supplemented by facts from the World Bank's data. In addition to mathematics, the tasks can be used in social studies, politics, ethics or geography and are available both digitally and in print. The project was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation and was developed in cooperation with Klett MINT. More
